Ariana Debuts New Single ‘Baby I’

Ariana’s newest single is the perfect follow-up to her breakout hit “The Way.” It’s the kind of song that begs to be blasted on your iPod or radio, and once again, she sounds a lot like a young Mariah Carey.
Less than one day after “Baby I” was released, the song already hit the top three on the iTunes charts! Ariana tweeted about her new hit song on July 22: “Every little girl has a dream and you’re helping me live mine! I’m gagging that’s so cheesy but very true. A sincere thank u for everything.”
Even mega pop stars like Justin Bieber voiced their congrats to Ariana on her hit single: “I see everyone going crazy over your new song. You can sing! See u on the #BelieveTour . Congrats!” Ariana is the opening act for the Biebs on the last three dates on his world tour.
From just these two singles alone, Ariana’s got a long and successful career ahead of her in music. Her debut album Daydreamin’ will be released later this year.
What do YOU think of Ariana’s new single? Doesn’t she sound like Mariah Carey? Let us know what you think!

Demi Lovato ‘proud of Disney peers’

Demi Lovato cheers on her former Disney competition as they all carve out adult careers for themselves.
The 20-year-old singer rose to fame starring in several TV series on the Disney Channel. The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez also kick-started their careers working for the child entertainment giant.
All of these Disney celebrities have thus far proven to be very successful entertainers in adulthood and Demi doesn’t covet anyone’s prosperity.
Although she confesses she has a naturally ambitious nature, Demi won’t ever talk down on her Mickey Mouse peers.
"I'm so excited for Selena, I'm so excited for Miley..." Demi told MTV News. "I get competitive as much as I love them. I do get competitive so I have to focus on myself and just be like it doesn't matter who has what, we are all equally successful, and in our lives it's a huge blessing. I'm so proud of everyone."
Demi briefly dated Joe Jonas in 2010, but the pair remain on good terms.
Apparently she is also great friends with Joe’s brothers Nick and Kevin.
"I really only hang out with Nick," Demi explained. "I'm cool with all of them. I'm really cool with all of them, but Nick is one of my really, really, really good friends. We don't get to see each other often but [when we do] it's so much fun.”
Demi, Selena and Miley have all been nominated to receive a trophy at the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards. The hip annual event will take place Sunday August 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Trying again? Selena Gomez 'takes Justin Bieber back as he promises to put a stop to recent wild antics'

Only this week a video emerged of Justin Bieber urinating in public and launching a verbal attack on a former US president, but according to insiders the teen star has vowed to put a stop to his wild behaviour, all to win back ex girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The couple have been embroiled in an on/off relationship for over two years but following their latest split in December 2012, Justin’s behaviour has spiraled out of control.
Turning up late to concerts, angering his neighbours with his driving skills and allegations of marijuana use are just some of the antics that have hit headlines in recent months.

Back on? Selena Gomez has taken Justin Bieber after he promised to clean up his act, according to insiders
Following Justin’s hint last week that he is back with gorgeous Selena, it looks like he’s finally waving goodbye to his bad boy behaviour.
Justin appeared to confirm the reconciliation with a not too subtle Instagram photo on July 5th, which saw the singer posing alongside Selena, with the caption '#heartbreaker'.
According to sources the romance is back on, but Selena held out on a reunion for so long because of her ex’s recent controversial behaviour.

TMZ report that Justin was ‘able to change her mind’ and on July 4th ‘he won her back’ by promising to clean up his act.
Meanwhile, Selena's friends have reportedly responded in dismay over the apparent reconciliation.
'Selena’s friends have stuck by her through thick and thin, but the whole back-and-forth relationship with Bieber is really starting to wear on then,' a source told RadarOnline.com.
'None of her friends really like Justin, or at least they don't like Selena with Justin,' the source added. 'It's just not a healthy relationship.'

Happy family: Selena Gomez gets a helping hand from her stepdad Brian as she arrives in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday afternoon

The brunette took a break from her love life drama on Wednesday as she stepped out for a family outing with her step-dad Brian.
The two giggled as they walked past photographers on their arrival in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old wrapped an arm around that of her stepdad, who guided her past the paparazzi.
The Disney pop star has plenty to smile about following the arrival of her new sibling.
Brian and her mother Mandy welcomed little Gracie Elliot Teefey on June 12, and Selena has already being spotted playing the doting big sister with the tiny tot.
And it looks as if Brian is helping out with parenting duties while Mandy tends to  their newborn - accompanying his stepdaughter on her trip to Europe.
Selena was back in Los Angeles after spending a few days in Germany promoting her fashion line with Adidas.

Demi Lovato: 'If you want to be famous, just make a sex tape'

Good evening Demi. Your new album is far better than your last. Did you realise this while you were recording it?
"Well, thank you. When I finished the last album I thought it was great for a while, but I got sick of the songs a lot faster than with my others so I figured maybe it wasn't my best. When I went to record this one, I knew I had to have songs that excited me. As well as just better songs. If I want to be a pop artist, I have to make catchy songs."

You recently said fame adds 10 years. Now you're 20, so what's it like being 30?
"Well I feel 40, never mind 30! It feels pretty good though."

Do you like getting older?
"I feel like getting older is a privilege, and I'm thankful to have every single day. If I were to be able to live until I'm actually 30 that would be a huge blessing in itself."

How does it feel to be the subject of an intervention?
"That wasn't the only time it had ever happened, I was just really good at manipulating the people around me, telling them I was fine. And then I'd get help in a different way. The first few ones were a little surprising, but the final one was … expected. And I had no other choice."

Was it a relief?
"Yeah. There's a secret relief where you just feel like: "OK, time for somebody else to be taking the reins of my life for me."

If you have a daughter, and if when she's 15 she says "I want to be famous", what will you say?
"When people say "I want to be famous – I want to be a star", you have to ask: "What are your intentions? If you just want to be famous, make a sex tape." So what I'd say is, if you're doing it because you want to be a respected actress or musician, follow your dream. If you just want paparazzi following you, rethink what's going on in your little head. It's crazy how people confuse the two nowadays."

Do you feel a bit jealous that Daft Punk could send out other people to do all their public appearances?
"I'm completely jealous of that – mainly because they could go to a restaurant on a date without people coming up to them and making them feel weird."

That's assuming they don't wear their helmets on dates
"That is assuming that, yes."

If you were in a restaurant and your date wore a robot helmet, what would you do?
"I would probably leave. "

He's a very private celebrity, but do you have any good gossip about Barney?
"Well. Barney the Dinosaur is a dinosaur that is real. I don't know if you're trying to get any gossip about that. But if Barney was fake – and I'm not confirming or denying that, and I'm not suggesting that I may have had to sign a confidentiality agreement saying I'd never say he wasn't real – I would imagine him to be very attractive. Because he'd have to be a muscular guy to carry that suit. And he'd happen to also have a really good-looking face. And he may or may not have been my crush when I was growing up working on that show. That's if Barney was fake."

So this hypothetical Barney was really hot?
"I'm just saying that if Barney wasn't real that might have been the scenario, but I'm not confirming or denying that."

Who's easier to work with out of Barney and your fellow US X Factor judge Simon Cowell?
"Definitely Barney."

Can you confirm or deny that Simon Cowell is real?
"I think he is – I haven't seen a really good-looking muscular guy inside … [slightly hysterical nervous titter] his, um, suit."

I might start a Kickstarter to fund a new Camp Rock film. How much will you pledge?
"Honestly, I probably wouldn't put in any money. In fact I definitely wouldn't. As much as I love Disney Channel and what they've done for me, it's a chapter that's closed. And I'm very glad that it is."

One old Disney bigwig said you had a voice like you'd "swallowed Pat Benatar". Which current pop artist would you most like to eat?
"Someone said that? [Laughs] Well, I grew up listening to them so if I could swallow Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera that would be great."

You've put the two best songs from your last album on the end of your new album. Isn't that cheating?
"Is it cheating? Or is it smart? That's the real question, my friend."

If I instructed you now to form a girlband with two other female artists, who would you choose as the Kellys and Michelles to your Beyoncé?
"It would never happen but I'd form a group featuring me, Miley, Selena and Taylor. That would be pretty epic."

Finally, will you still sing Heart Attack when you're at an age when the risk of heart disease is more acute?
"Hopefully I'll stop singing it a long time before then, but yes – I won't be singing that song in a nursing home any time soon."
