Selena Gomez wears no make-up as she dresses down and visits the Steven Spielberg Pediatric Research Center

As the darling of Disney, Selena Gomez is always preened into peak condition for her TV appearances.

But the star of Wizards of Waverly Place didn't lose any of her magic as she opted for a low key look on Thursday.

Selena appeared make-up free as she dressed down during a visit to the Steven Spielberg Pediatric Research Center, in Beverly Hills, California.

The 20-year-old wore a baggy white blouse that swamped her small frame and also sported some big brown boots with grey leggings.

With her long brown locks down, a bespectacled Selena looked relaxed and laid back as she made her way back to her car.

It is thought that she visited the research centre, which specialises in making advances in medical genetics, to discuss a potential fundraising event.

Jennette McCurdy & Ariana Grande: 'Swindle' Set!

Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande roam around the set of their new Nickelodeon film Swindle on Thursday (October 11) in Vancouver, Canada.

During their afternoon on set, Ariana filmed a stunt on the top of a building and the gals were joined by their co-stars Noah Munck, Christopher O’Neal, and Noah Crawford.

Swindle is about an evil collector who cons Griffin (Crawford) out of a million dollar baseball card that could have saved his best friend’s (O’Neal) home, he unites a ragtag group of his classmates (Grande, McCurdy, Munck, and Ciara Bravo) to take down the swindler.

US X Factor judge Demi Lovato denies she's dating One Direction's Niall Horan

US X factor judge, Demi Lovato, 20, has denied that she's dating One Directions, Niall Horan.

Demi's claim comes days after it was reported that the pair - who've been getting close on Twitter and Skype over the past six months - were 'loosely dating'.

'But he's not my boyfriend. I'm in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself.'

Even though they're not an item, Niall speaks very highly of the former Disney star.

'The nice thing about Demi is, once you know her, she's really, really beautiful,' Niall, 19, tells Seventeen.

SELENA GOMEZ INSPIRED TAYLOR SWIFT TO DATE CONOR KENNEDY?

We're quite used to Taylor Swift dating different types of older boys so it was a bit of a surprise to us when she started going out with 18 year old Conor Kennedy.

But apparently the inspiration for her dip into "mini-cougar" territory might've had something to do with good friend Selena Gomez, who's been dating toyboy Justin Bieber for a while now.

To be fair, if it's never worked out with an older boy, maybe someone younger is a good bet.

Demi Lovato Was 'Ready To Do Something New' When She Joined X Factor

Joining the X Factor USA panel alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry was a ‘no-brainer’ for the youngest of the judges, Demi Lovato. The teen star revealed that the proposition to be a judge came at the perfect time in her life and she had no hesitation when it came to accepting the offer from boss Simon Cowell.

The American star seems to fit in perfectly beside her judging partners and described her only female companion Britney as “really sweet and funny and quirky”. She also seems to have found a new BFF in Simon Cowell as the pair continually joke and make fun of each other in front of the cameras.
Demi does, however, believe the competition is more than just fun and games. She admitted that she wants to not only help the contestants with their singing, but also with their newfound fame.

Demi Lovato admits that she's dating Niall Horan of One Direction

"The X Factor" U.S. judge Demi Lovato, 20, has now admitted what many people predicted would happen: She is dating One Direction's Niall Horan, 19. 

Lovato commented to the Daily Mirror about her relationship with Horan: "He has a lot of great qualities. He is an amazing listener and makes me laugh a lot, two of the main qualities I look for. He knows I have a little crush on him, and we enjoy having dinner when we get the chance. We speak and message all the time.

“I don’t want a relationship over Skype; we are both in a place where we feel zero pressure to rush. We share the philosophy that the right one is worth waiting for. It has been a crazy year for One Direction and I have been concentrating on The X Factor and also my well-being.”

Horan lives in London, while Lovato is based in the Los Angeles area.

An insider told the Daily Mirror: “Demi’s told the guys backstage she and Niall are loosely dating – it’s casual but they are definitely dating, albeit long-distance.”

Over the past several months, Lovato denied that she was dating Horan and said that they were "just friends." She also said in many interviews that she wasn't going to be dating anyone for about a year because she wanted to focus on her career and her recovery from various personal problems, including substance abuse, eating disorders and self-harming. Lovato has gone to rehab for these issues.

There have been several gossip blind items that many people believe are about Lovato, Horan and "The X Factor" executive producer Simon Cowell. According to the blind items, a powerful boss is arranging for two of his young stars to be set up in a dating relationship. The female half of the couple has agreed to the arrangement and is dating the guy for publicity. The arranged relationship will teased in a "will they or won't they get together" scenario. They will then admit to dating each other, but then the relationship will be over by the end of 2012.

One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. Cowell was One Direction's mentor when he was a judge on the show. One Direction is also signed to Syco Music, the record company co-owned by Cowell and Sony Music.

Horan has not had a steady girlfriend since One Direction rose to fame on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. Lovato's most recent public boyfriend was Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. They dated for a few months in 2010, before she went into rehab. Lovato also had an on-again/off-again relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama.

Rumors about Lovato and Horan dating began heating up after it was reported that they went out to Pink Taco (a Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood, California) on September 6, 2012, after they were both at the MTV Video Music Awards. Lovato denied that the get-together was a romantic date, and she later insisted in interviews that she and Horan were "just friends."

Zendaya Coleman Calls Selena Gomez Her Role Model

Selena Gomez could easily be considered as the Hilary Duff for her generation and now Selena is influencing the next generation. Zendaya Coleman of Shake It Up recently admitted that she looks up to Selena. She tweeted a congrats to her recently for all of the good things going on in Selena’s life. Then she went on to tell the whole world that she makes a great role model for Zendaya and that she loves her to death! It was a sweet and touching tweet that likely thousands of other girls can relate to what Zendaya was saying. As for how she worded the touching message, here is the quote.

I love @SelenaGomez and all that she is doing right now…a great role model for me!! congrats girl!! #muchlove

I agree with her that Selena Gomez is a great role model. She knows what she wants and is working towards it, while not betraying her already existing fans. That is a hard thing to do and even more so tempting for so many to forget about them. Yet so far Selena has being do so good about keeping them and making sure that she lives a life that her family and friends can be proud of. So Zendaya has certainly made a good choice about who her role model is.

DEMI LOVATO GETS FEISTY AND CHUCKS A BARBIE DOLL OFF STAGE IN BRAZIL

Barbie didn't know what hit her. 



X factor judge, Demi Lovato, was talking about her self harm and eating disorders at the Z festival when a fan threw a Barbie Doll on stage. 

"I think it's really funny, somebody threw a Barbie Doll onstage," she began. "It's kind of ironic, because I spent my whole life trying to be this, and trying to look like this.

"And guess what? I'm not this - and it means the world to me that you guys still love me, no matter what.

"Whoever's Barbie this is, I'm really sorry but I'm going to throw it. Thank you guys for inspiring me."

Demi Lovato grateful for Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez’s support

Demi Lovato entered a treatment center in December of 2010 where she spent three long months away from her friends, family and her adoring fans.  She stood strong in a head on battle with an eating disorder, self harming and depression issues and came out on top.

The Disney star had an out pouring of support and love from her fans worldwide and has been grateful for their love during the hard times.

Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, who are also very close to Lovato, stood by Demi’s side as she battled her problems and dealt with criticism from the media.

Recently Demi was speaking about the incredible support Selena showed her when she entered rehab, saying;

“Selena and I hadn’t spoken in a long time. We just had some issues that we had to deal with. But the day I went into treatment I get a phone call from her and she was the one sobbing on the phone. She was like, ‘Are you OK? I’ve been crying non-stop. Are you sure you’re OK?’ And, all issues aside, I started crying too and I’m like, ‘Yes, I’m OK.’”

Miley Cyrus also reached out to Demi while she was in treatment and sent her a Christmas present since she was in the center over the holidays.  Demi said;

“She sent me a Christmas present and that meant a lot to me because I didn’t get Christmas presents in there (rehab)… I just have incredible friends.”

Lovato has previously expressed her gratitude towards her ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas for all of his help as well.

We are excited to see that Demi is doing so well and love that she has used her music as a way to share her feelings with fans though her new song ‘Skyscraper.’
